CWG is founded and led by Bronson Koterwas (sole principal at present) a third generation carpenter who is possessed by a deep seeded fascination with building. Bronson has 14+ years experience in the custom high end residential construction market. He worked as a roofer, carpenter, project supervisor, and project manager for other top residential contractors before starting CWG in 2003. Eighteen months of his time were spent working in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco functioning as a project superintendent on total home remodels of some of planet earths most expensive single family real estate. He remains steadfast in his view that we as a people and our home here on earth will benefit from a radically different approach to the built environment. An approach that our society is largely unaware of, but which some of us are beginning to glimpse and envision.

Bronson with his daughter Maia Luna. "She has changed my life in ways I could not have imagined"..."Time with her brings me great joy and a renewed interest in everything that surrounds us"...

Wedding day for Bronson and to be ex wife (divorcing) Kate Huston "This to date is the happiest day of my life...She is an incredibly strong and courageous woman"

Bronson, perched comfy like a bird on a roof outlook, framing away. "My favorite aspect of rough carpentry is roof framing. The scenery is splendorous -- for me far more interesting than what corporate executives see from their corner office suites in urban high rises. And the fact that there is real physical consequence to ones movements keeps things interesting."--Bronson

Bronson with the river. "I feel more spiritually connected while in the water wether it be ocean or river.. I liken our ocean to a heart and our rivers to arteries and veins--they are absolutely essential to all life here on planet earth"--Bronson

CWG is open to exploring partnership opportunities. Are you an individual with a strong construction background possessing a desire to build structures that embrace both their occupants and the land on which they are part of? Do you yearn to do so in a more sustainable style than is typically practiced? Do you believe that together we could accomplish what we can not, or might not alone? Do you have the resources to undertake custom residential projects (and potentially light commercial) both large and small, or posses the ability to assemble those necessary resources? Are you respected by your piers, maintaining positive working relationships with those around you? Are you a licensed architect, or architectural school graduate? Do you thrive on a team oriented approach wherein every person involved in a project knows and accepts their roll as important; an environment where collaboration prevails yet everyone holds herself accountable for ones own actions; an environment where everyone focuses on performing their roll to the best of their abilities but is always conscious of how their part relates to the whole and is willing to tailor their method of contribution to facilitate improved performance from teammates.

If much of what is written above applies to you I suggest that we speak with each other at some point.

"At present I envision growing CWG into an employee owned cooperative with many employee owners. I believe the cooperative business model can provide a working environment that nourishes its participants in ways more humanly relevant than numbers ($$$$$$'s) alone. To be part of something that is driven by and dependant upon a diverse group of individuals with varying talents and interests could be truly uplifting. I hope it happens."--Bronson Koterwas
